WE ARE SO INANE, ALL OF US BLOGGERS

YES, that is right...all of us bloggers are INANE...according to the grandeous writer Danielle Steele.  She is starting her own blog.....www.daniellesteel.net and she will post entries once a week or more often."If I get excited about something."    Her children got her to take a closer look at what is written on the internet.  She is not always impressed. "Some are very interesting. but some are so INANE--unknown people telling you what they do every day, which is even more boring than what I do every day."

But she will play nice on her blog.

"I want it to be friendly and positive. I have seen some of the blogs being highly critical about people and highly nasty. I don't like that in life. it's just not necessary. Life is hard enough without being sour on top of it"

This newspaper article is quoted from the MONITOR, newspaper of the Rio Grande Valley,
TX.        Let's just keep posting stories and photos about our lives and keep being
BORING according to the famous writer.......I am insulted. Most blogs are online to keep
far flung families in touch with each other because most families are not living next door
to each other....don't buy more of her books....she is insulting..............Carry on..........

Gas is at $1.92.9 at one station today. Golf in Tuesday's scramble ended up in a tie for first place, I had my first chip in of the season, beer at the golf course was $1.85........sweet! But no Mich golden Light in TX. Alamo mobile home has a lot of minor damage from hurricane Dolly. I took pictures today for the insurance people. I hope I will get some money for repairs so I can put it up for sale again. Every day more units are moving in, but no
neighbors yet. Will try to make it to water exercise class in the morning or
maybe line dancing or the work out room and also ride my 10 miles around
the park. Some beautiful mobile homes in the new area, one has a "widow's
room" as they used to call it in the old days........carry on and fill up your gas
tanks every day.........C

Honey, I'm Home

Well, I made it down that blue highway,
from Iowa to Texas. Great road trip, one
bad motel, noisy, not much sleep. After
stopping at the storage facility and
paying my bill, filling up with gas....OH MY!
Regular was $2.03 per gallon in Harlingen.
For premium I paid $2.21. checked in at
the office and stopped to see M and M.
I told them I'd be there about high noon
and it was almost right on the nose. Joe
showed up within an hour to put my
unit on the correct spot, then the work began.
M came to get my beef and put it in
their freezer. Went to HEB for groceries,
once again, they only rang up half of my
purchases. I was nearly falling asleep
as the minutes went by and finally hit
the sack at 930 PM, 5th inning, score 3-2.
I didn't miss anything. Awoke about 6 AM,
rolled over and went back to sleep, next
thing I knew, 830 AM, 11 hours of sleep.
I needed it. today I emptied the three bags
of clothes( I brought too much) plus two
other bags, food department and bathroom
stuff. Moving right along, 4-0 for Tampa
Bay Rays. I don't think I will see the end
again. I do have some photos of
"where's Goofy" to post, but I have to find
the cable or set up the printer to use that
as a mode to upload. tomorrow, lazy day,
have to get my park ID, maybe a load of
laundry, maybe off to the golf course to
look for a job.....moving right along........
stay warm, 93 on my first day. Today good,
made a jar of sun tea.
odometer read 1292.6 miles........carry on

victoria

Second stop in Victoria TX. No problems, except for a big semi with a huge crane on the back end. He forgot about passing friendly in TX.....after 20
miles, he finally let us by. My route is not on the interstate, in involves
2 or 4 lane divided highways, 70 MPH, but many small towns that are not
a mile long, you have to slow down to 40.......be patient....
M and M called to tell me that my Golf Breeze was delivered to the wrong spot. Delivered to a single spot, not a double. I hope I can keep it, but I
doubt it.......I hope to be on the road again before 8 AM so I can stop at Dixie Storage to pay the bill, check in at Llano G and stop at M and M's and
then have a COLD BEER...........then I have to work.....take out the bike, the
lawn furniture, clean the interior, vacuum the bed, plug in the electricity,
start up the gas.....put the IOWA beef in the fridge..........and have a COLD BEER.......Thursday I will unload the Pearl......funny......Pearl Harbor the
movie is on TV tonight......I have a poster from the eye doctor's office.......
remember the Aviators, Pearl Harbor........my vehicle........an Aviator......
thus the name of my vehicle.......must be a red neck, naming your vehicle

What's A Few More Days?

Friday afternoon just an hour before cocktail hour......
Speaking of cocktails I haven't heard a good one
in a long time! So, I am finishing up this morning's
coffee, with a splash of Baileys. did you know there
is a caramel flavored Baileys on the shelf? Uummm
good. Don't know when I will log on again to post
some news, so keep in touch...This shot is along the
new bike route, didn't make the whole route this
past month when it opened, next summer..........
carry on, rolling down that blue highway..........C

One Week Until Launch

One more week in Iowa, nervous time....do I have everything I will need for
seven months? Am I taking too much (probably). I made a list of everything I
left in the RV, especially clothes. That has been a good guide. This year I have
to take work clothes and some long pants for work in case January has its usual
cold temps. I decided I didn't want to wear anything but shorts for the rest of
my life. Oh well, last week 45 degrees for the trip to the Farmer's Market, long
pants. I was able to golf this week end, tomorrow if it isn't raining, I will pack
the clubs for Texas. My good friend, Granny Nanny is home for a couple weeks
from AZ, so we had to golf in Dayton and of course, that meant a couple cold
beers and cocktail hour and Mark fixed some wonderful T Bones. OH MY! The
market was out of rib eyes at one dollar less than home. Iowa beef is the best!
I won't be back for at least 30 weeks, so I have to haul at least 30 steaks/30
pork chops and some corn that I froze. I hope the fridge is big enough to hold
all of this food...Golf on Sunday was a four person "shamble". All four on the
team tee off, chose one drive to use, then you play your own ball to the cup,
counting only the two lowest scores. On the par 3 holes you play your own ball
the entire way. We were not good at this. 159, but NOT last place. One spot out
of getting a pay day. I did win the longest drive again, bought a golf glove which
I can always use. The winning team were creeps, they swore at us when they
were at their carts, in the trees getting ready for the next hole and one of my
teammates had a wild shot that landed close to them. Bah Humbug! I need to
download some photos from golf and farming and volleyball.....carry on.........
