Hidalgo Christmas

OOPS

I didn't make the first weekly post......Work has been great and always fun. I have 48 people signed up for my 4th annual Susan G Komen Fundraiser. My goal is to hit $1,000 this year, with the donations. My wonderful boss donated a set of golf clubs and pink golf bag to raffle off, this means we will make it over a grand. Less than one month until the event, lots of time to SELL,SELL,SELL.....Tuesday is 18 holes of golf day, ladies league in the morning, mixed scramble in the afternoon. I have been hot off the tee box for a while, but in the scramble I hit the best wedge of the season, 67 yards into a 30 mph wind, I dropped it within 2 feet and we made the birdie putt.....The annual park Quilt show was held today. WOW, the quilters in the park are so creative. My favorite was a beach scene, in soft blues. On Monday I had a great surprise at the snack bar while working. I was fixing a bag of popcorn and I saw people come in, when I looked to see who it was......SHOCK TIME......it was Dottie and Chuck Cushman from home, my former bowling teammates. They cancelled a trip to AZ and are visiting family and friends in Texas. I hope they made it to their destination Tuesday and missed that rain storm that came thru the center of the state. I'll see if I can find some new pictures to post.....carry on......

The new year

Has arrived and my new resolution is to post once a week. This week I competed in the park Olympic qualifying. Teammate Ruth Anne & I took first place with a sweet 70. I chipped in on #1 to save par and RA made a 35 foot birdie on #18 to give us the win. On to Las Logos or is it Los Lagos? In Feb to play vs 14 other parks. Carry on
