Happy Turkey Day

to all of ya'll..Eat too much, drink too much,
share stories too much, laugh a lot, and have
a great day of thanks giving.....think about friends,
I have one on a ventilator, ready to pull the
plug. Aunt Jean died at this time, about 6-7
years ago. Confused, sad, I can't remember the
year. Dano has a birthday today, Sally on Friday.
Be thankful of what we have. Be thankful of
all times with friends. Remember those old days,
card games and darts...he could not let a
three bid go by, gonna go with a MOON! Blue
Angel we will always remember you and those
crazy times, Panorama, softball, bowling,
and teasing you on CB radio....big guy you are
and will always be loved......I hope the prayer
chain works and I have to take this back......

Only an hour

That's all it took to post a while ago.
I also tried to see some videos of Bucky
and the tree, a NASA launch.NO LUCK. I
wonder how much it is going to cost me
to get broadband? It can't be the bad weather
that is messing up the airwaves and free
wi fi that comes with the rent...

SO, Sharon, if you see this. I saw the last
successful launch of Challenger in January
1984. I stood in the water at Titusville
to take pictures. I don't know how close
we were. An historical event for me, since
we know what happened two years later, if I
remember the date correctly, Jan 28, 86 or 89?

AHS girls won State volleyball for the
second year in a row.

AHS football lost to Marshalltown in
quarterfinals of football.Then M Town beat Dowling
to make it to the finals. That is
tonight. Bring it on home
for the CIML..continue to dominate in
state high school athletics....

Finally

I can get back to the blog. Between work, long downloads,
failure of the wi fi....The rest of my 49er group will
hit the big 60 this week end. We were born together in
Ankeny. I made a collage of us and sent it to the girls.
The parents took a photo of us in our strollers with our
moms, then with the dads. Same photo taken when Shulz's
moved when in 3rd grade. Black and white photography is
so great. I added photos from over the years of me with
each of my sisters. AND this week end my dear friend Merle
Karen celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. I took
photos of them for their cards. I wish I was home to help
celebrate. I should have checked on air fares.....
Work is great. Karaoke is hysterical. Some good singers,
a lot of "others". Just like LOST. Rain today, so I did
laundry, had my ears lowered, no car wash another day.
Hawkeyes should beat Minnesota tomorrow. Penn State will
win. Michigan will beat Ohio State. OH MY! A 3 or 4 way
tie for first place in the big ten. It will be a long
6-7 weeks until the bowl game. Had a great day on the
beach....

What happens

to your football team when all season long you play from behind and you succeed to get a 9-0 record? Wonderful. BUT, what do you do when you lose your QB to a sack in the end zone, fumble, and 1st string QB is gone? Second string QB has zero game experience.
Carry on you Hawkeyes. Not too many teams go undefeated. Regroup for Ohio State. We have a bowl game lined up. Let's kick some tail in Columbus next Saturday, win the Big Ten,
go to the ROSE BOWL where the BIG TEN belongs.....End it all on New Year's Day, unless you can figure out a way for a play off series through December....Money talks.....

No broadband

NO, I am not paying for it. On and OFF during downloading photos..wow, a week since I have logged on. I started work. The training day was to cook lunch for a dozen golf course men. Two times they changed the order....Only ONE time did I swear..my prep girl made one mistake, not giving equal amounts of fries to each basket.... I understand the situation and explained my thoughts to the boss. I don't think I had
any errors, they said the food was great. So, the amount of fries was our only mistake.

First night at karaoke I felt I made two mistakes. Both involved not writing down booze orders correctly.Second night, I don't think I made any mistakes, just write down the orders the way the OLD cooks are used to...

Karaoke is fun. My co worker and I finished the night with "Harper Valley PTA: last night. I am not a ballad singer, I don't carry a tune...just give me a song where I can talk it out...We had fun...

Today a great day in the Rio Grande Valley.....golf was good, except a brain fart to start......I was ready to tee off....I did not put on my golf shoes. I will meet the girls on #2 tee. The foursome behind asked if I was quitting already or if I was a
new girl???? HAHAHAHA...Iowa friends........

Course closed Sunday and Monday. I will be security on Monday.....Keep the golfers off of the course....They are blacktopping and sealing the road...
