The mariachi group out of Pan Am University performed one Sunday evening. A very talented group of dancers and musicians, they have performed all over the USA including the White House. The youngest member could sit sit still while her parents were performing, she just started to dance along with the music, at the back of the hall.









The annual quilt show was held in January again. This was my first chance to attend since I have usually been golfing in the McAllen Golf Olympics on the same day. This year golf was moved up one week. These are a few of my favorites, Helen is shown with her creation, a fellow Ankenyite, whose husband taught at Saydel.
