The Reason for me living

at Llano Grande: lifelong family friends Marian and Milo. Marian and my Aunt Jean went to school together as children, Orange Township, Iowa. This is their last
season in Texas. Recently they were once again honored as the longest married couple at the annual 50th anniversary party in the park. 68 years. You will see them with Donna, activity director, daughter Michele, friends Marv and Joan, Big Bob and Iowans Wayne and Colleen........carry on

I forgot to mention

on the next posting......we did a first, played golf on the first day of the New Year, 1/1/11......and this year is our family year....Greg and I were born on the 11th day. Dad was born in the 11th month. Add the two numbers together of Jeff's birth and it equals 11.....Then add on the lucky 7's.......mom's birthday.......
Sting ray washed ashore, Greg and I and the pelican at Pier 19 for a photo shoot.....The ropes are new this season.......life is good.......carry on.........

what's going on in Texas

starting with the first official Christmas for the three Lammert kids. We had a family Christmas together with parents and AJ and UGH back in the 80's sometime, but this is the first for the future. JEff has been down for the winter before, but
Greg has only made one or two weeks trips, this makes him an official Winter Texan. We spent a day on the beach, walked across the bridge on the Queen Isabella Causeway. This time only cousin Michele, Greg and I made the walk. Our drivers were Jeff, Denny, Marian and Milo. They drove across to wave at us and then pick a stop for lunch. We finished the day on the beach and watched a young man bring in a
"Big F...ing Fish". He kept dropping one of two fishing poles and his friends kept yelling, "Pick up the pole"......it was very funny and it was a "Big F....ing Fish". Carry on

I didn't think

I have been that busy lately, that I could not post one photo or note in about one month. Oh well, this is not going to be much.
Merry CHRISTmas to all and to all a good night, time to hit the sack after a wonderful CHRISTmas day with Ankeny friends/family here in the RGV, Rio Grande Valley. Delicious meal of course, relaxing swim in their salt water pool and some card games, I learned fast, but didn't win, 3/13 is the game. Carry on........

First game seat, right behind the bench

Big win over Southern

Oh my, we can only download a few at a time, I'll keep at it, maybe I'll get down before the football game is over......carry on

More shots from the end zone

My comp ticket courtesy of Coach Bluder had me behind the bench, but not a good spot to shoot pictures. So, I moved to the end zone, from the familiar spot I used to shoot from in Carver Hawkeye Arena. The thumbnail photos are so small, I hope I chose some good ones to post. carry on
