This is a view of my new home away from home,
on So Padre Island, TX. 600 units will be in
the park, about 100 of us now. They will start
arriving between Dec 26 and by the first of the
year, we will be full. So, don't laugh too hard,
you have to learn how to use your new equipment,
so I decided to make some cookies. after just
8 minutes, at 350.....burned. 2nd batch I lowered
the temp and watched carefully, same thing, burned
cookies. last on the show today, the thing I want
to come back as.........a pelican. They are so
graceful, flying low across the water, or
circling around looking for dinner and crashing
into the water. This pelican was looking for
fish being caught by the fishermen. They are so
much fun to watch and they keep me entertained
every day on the beach.

The Iowa Boys were Here
BUTT, what happened? Our new coach
is a great teacher of defense. I think
he might be too rigid on offense. Or
the guys have not yet jelled....It was
great to see the Hawkeyes play and the
crowd was 95% Hawkeye fans. 850 were at
the first game, not as many for game 2
on Saturday. I was standing next to Gorney,
I didn't make it to his arm pits. A
shorty am I, he is SEVEN feet tall.........

Poor White Trash
This is why I am PWT....If you saw the
last post with photos of the Breeze on
the driveway in IOWA......this Big Red
Machine carried me to Texas from Vinita,
Oklahoma. The Black Hearse died there,
a blown engine. I was very upset,needless
to say, but now that I am on the island,
I almost have things in order. I had
a sandwich and cold beer on the beach
today. 87 and windy, but it isn't Iowa.
We are going to be in the 60's for Turkey
day, I hear Iowa might have snow....all
the better reason to be in Texas......
More photos to follow of the Breeze and
her new location about a quarter mile
from the Gulf of Mexico.......Gobble Gobble

HONEY I"M HOME
Today is a RED letter day. I finally brought home my new home on wheels.
I am pooped tonight after a four hour orientation. I took a lot of notes and
forgot to take movies of Galen when he did the hitch hook up. Galen is a
great salesman, even though the manufacturer was far from satisfactory.
He even said he would come over on the day i leave to check my hook up.
Don't think I will need to turn on the furnace tonight, will have to watch
the 6 PM news report to find out how cold it will be, last night about 27!
That means its time to get "ON THE ROAD AGAIN".....just can't wait to get
on the road again........
Anyone in Ankeny can come around to see my GOLF Breeze before I
leave, probably Monday, since there is big time volleyball all week end
long. State HS tournament and NEbraska women will be in town!
Time to relax, have a martini, kick back and maybe read some of the
books I paid for.......HA!
Texas get ready...........

Big Smile Post #2
My note didn't appear on the last entry.
Wire found on tire from road trip, one tire to be replaced.
Surround sound did not get hooked up, but an AM/FM CD player did!
One chair not covered with plastic for the road trip, it was upside
down and has a black mark on it, to be replaced free.
Half time oven has a manufacturing problem, all removed from the
units, I have a small stove, microwave, three burners.
Satellite/cable hook up only done in the bedroom
No shelf for the TV like in the brochure. I have a suitable stand, it will
be right next to the settee.....I also have an ottoman, need a throw rug by
chairs.
He will be done with it in a day or so, I will then spend a day or so with
him, get the money from the credit union and bring her home.......
Wanted to have a house warming, but that might not be possible with
my time constraints and four IOWA basketball games between Friday
and Nov 13. Plus bowling, dentist, I will be going on a couple short
road trips in the area, to learn how to drive her on the Eisenhower
Interstate highway system.........
More pictures to follow, she isn't as long as I was visioning....that's great!

Three weeks and counting
Just another photo from the cabin in Colorado.
The RV will be here any minute now. It might be here,
but the man did not call. I have a new TV, a Sony Bravia,
a small Shark vaccuum, an indoor/ outdoor thermometer
like I have in the house, some new utensils for the kitchen,
and this wonderful stained glass candle holder that I saw
at the farmers market. I had just purchased my truck when
I saw this item, "Don't let your dreams be just that......."
So perfect for my decisions on my current future life. I am
sure everyone has said this before, I think I will go to______
for a visit or I'd like to live ____________. That's what I am
doing.....A new venture, maybe a new homestead. No more
dreams, I am going to do it, while I can.
My new home for the winter will be on South Padre Island,
Texas. I spent at least one day a week over there last winter,
so I am going to stay full time this year. The mobile will be
put on the market and I hope we can sell it fast.
Ya'll are welcome anytime, I have room for two in a hide-a-bed in
the living room. With the super slide out, I have a nice sized LR,
not cramped. I think I will buy some grass.....aka green indoor
outdoor carpet, to put under the awning, to cut down on the
dust, dirt, salt and sand........
I can't wait to get going........on the road........November 14...........
a few more photos of what I did last winter, riding the bike along
the shore line, stopping at Dolly Parton's in Branson, the beach and
the waves and the gulf, those birds on the golf course.....this summer at
state HS BB, the father of the Ankeny Hawk on the left.....we played
ball together in the summer co rec league. This young man is a
HS Jr, he was just a baby.......th interstae between Denver and Breck..
On the road again, just can't wait to get on the road again........
I'll drive my Ram to the ocean and it won't be dry, a good old girl
drinking martini's on the beach, singing this will be the place I will
live....happily after ever after.....
Aloha ya'll..........

Once Again, Back Home Again
The last month has been busy, buying my new home and then going on
a road trip to Colorado. What a beautiful job done by Mother Nature.
We awoke two days to SNOW!!!! Not my favorite thing. By noon or earlier,
it had melted off. While on the road, my favorites CUBBIES won their
division and are headed to the playoffs. Needless to say....three and out,
right along with the Angels and Philly and maybe the Yanks tonight.
I will be making several blogs of my trip, so enjoy.....in less than a
month, I will be ON the Road again, to Texas.....
First stop, Chappelle Nebraska, Boomer and hubby Jim, me in my "new"
Corvette, Boomer on the golf course and the first view of the mountains
while driving on I 80....this time boomer took the pics....not me...
